The Shalem Institute has been a resource for prayer and deepening in the life of the Spirit for over 30 years and has earned a reputation for assisting people in developing a deeper spirituality in their work and personal lives.

Shalem provides programs and support for spiritual directors, clergy, leaders of contemplative prayer groups and retreats, other lay leaders, and individuals--all who seek to deepen their relationships with God and bring the gifts of contemplative living and leadership to their ministries. Our programs range from short-term events including retreats and quiet days, workshops, spiritual formation groups, and similar events, to long-term extension programs lasting one-to-two years.

Please note that we are not accepting online applications at this time for our extension programs (Spiritual Guidance Program, Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups and Retreats Program, Clergy Spiritual Life and Leadership Program, and Personal Spiritual Deepening Program). To apply for one of these extension programs, please visit http://www.shalem.org/extension_programs. Here you can download the application for the extension program in which you are interested and email or mail it to the appropriate registrar for that program.
